Mark Edelman

Mark Edelman is a nationally recognized attorney in consumer financial services regulation, advising banks, finance companies, and online lenders across the United States on complex regulatory and compliance matters. He leads the firm’s Consumer Financial Services team and brings more than 30 years of experience counseling clients on risk management and regulatory strategy under federal and state consumer credit regimes. Mark’s practice focuses on multistate compliance for personal property financing, with particular depth in motor vehicle financing and leasing. He regularly advises on consumer loan documentation, underwriting, e‑commerce, licensing strategy, acquisitions and divestitures, structured finance, and insurance‑related products. Mark frequently represents clients in state licensing approvals and multistate regulatory examinations and investigations. He is recognized by Chambers USA, is a Fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers, and serves as vice chair of the ABA Consumer Financial Services Committee.
