Karl Hubenthal

Karl Hubenthal serves as Deputy Director of Consumer Protection for the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner. In that role, he manages large examination projects and oversees plain language contract submissions, debt cancellation agreement review, documentary fee analysis, and annual reporting for regulated industries. Over the course of his career with the agency, he has led multistate examinations, developed examination and reporting policies, and produced analytical work on Texas credit markets and consumer finance issues. He previously served as Assistant Director of Exam Operations, Senior Financial Analyst, and Financial Examiner. Karl earned both his MBA and his BBA in Economics from Stephen F. Austin State University.
