Chris Mitcham

Christopher Mitcham serves as Head of Dealer Commercial Services at Santander Bank, N.A., part of Banco Santander, where he leads the strategy, growth, and full P&L for a national platform serving automotive dealers, OEM partners, and commercial clients.

Under his leadership, the business represents one of Santander’s largest dealer commercial services platforms globally, with aligned capabilities and partnerships that extend across Europe and Latin America. In this role, he is focused on building an integrated financial ecosystem that supports the full dealer lifecycle, including floorplan and syndicated lending, commercial real estate, treasury and deposit solutions, derivatives, merchant services, and innovative financing platforms. By aligning these capabilities, he drives scalable growth for clients while strengthening Santander’s position as a leading partner to the dealer community and OEMs in the United States.

Over more than 25 years in the industry, Chris has led large operational teams and delivered complex credit, capital, and specialty finance solutions for auto and consumer portfolio companies. His experience includes commercial lending and specialty finance solutions for the automotive industry, as well as direct oversight of the acquisition, origination, servicing, and operations of large-scale automotive and consumer receivables businesses across the credit spectrum.

Throughout his career, he has led large-scale strategic partnerships, built and managed operation centers, structured complex financial transactions, and negotiated multi-billion-dollar portfolio acquisitions and sales across both consumer and commercial finance. This experience has shaped a leadership approach grounded in disciplined risk management, operational excellence, a strong bias for action, and long-term value creation.
