The National Automotive Finance (NAF) Association is excited to announce the launch of Phase 2 of the Compliance Certificate Program, a continuation of the Collector and Underwriter Certificate programs that will provide ongoing education for your front line staff.

The NAF Association believes Phase 2 will provide the necessary second step for front line staff to stay compliant in an unstable regulatory environment.

Phase 2 is offered to staff of member companies who have completed either the Collector or Underwriter Certificate programs.

 

Part I:  Initial Quiz

  • Phase II of the Collector Compliance Certificate program begins with a review and initial quiz of Core Content which includes: FDCPA; ECOA; FTC Act; UDAAP; State Anti-Discrimination and State Collection Laws.

Part II:  Review of Core Content (based on Initial Quiz results):

  • Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
  • Equal Credit Opportunity Act & Regulation B
  • Federal Trade Commission Act Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices
  • Dodd Frank Act Unfair, Deceptive and Abusive Acts and Practices
  • State Anti-Discrimination Laws & Regulations
  • State Collection and Servicing Laws

Part III:  Highlights of Key Core Content

  • Highlights the most important topics in the Core Content.
  • May include references to new enforcement actions or developments.

Part IV:  Why it Matters

  • Discusses penalties for noncompliance with laws.
  • May include references to enforcement actions by the CFPB.

Part V:  Final Quiz

Phase II of the Underwriter Program begins with a review and quiz of the Core Content for the Underwriter Compliance Certificate program. Review covers the  ECOA; FCRA; FTC Act and UDAAP. Both the Collector and Underwriter Phase II programs will offer sessions on “why it matters…Penalties for noncompliance” and end with a final quiz.
