October 22, 2015 — Las Vegas, NV – In a luncheon awards ceremony at the Auto Finance Summit held October 22, 2015 in Las Vegas the NAF Association received the Auto Finance Excellence Award for its extensive consumer credit compliance educational programs for the auto financing industry.
For the past two years the Association has been setting a high standard for compliance education. It has developed the highly regarded Consumer Credit Compliance Certification program. Open to members and non-members of NAF Association, the in-depth four-module program provides over 60 hours of online and classroom education covering federal and state laws and regulations and an in-depth overview of the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. The program prepares a graduate to perform in a senior compliance management role. Nearly 400 compliance managers have enrolled in this challenging course.
Recently the NAF Association has introduced a compliance certificate program for finance company front line staff serving in collector, underwriter, funder, sales and customer rep roles and over 700 people have completed the on line programs.
Today compliance is at the forefront in auto finance management. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau requires that finance companies have a comprehensive Compliance Management System and a critical part of a CMS is an educated workforce. The NAF Association is committed to providing comprehensive compliance education to the auto financing industry.
