CONSUMER FINANCE PROTECTION ACT WEBINAR SCHEDULEDHanover, Md. (July 13, 2010) --- The National Automotive Finance (NAF) Association will present a webinar, CFPA (Consumer Finance Protection Act) and Below-Prime Auto Financing, July 21, 2010 starting at 12:30 pm Eastern Daylight Time. Michael Benoit and Tom Buiteweg, partners at Hudson Cook, LLP, will be the presenters. When passed, the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 will create the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB). The webinar will answer some of the questions the industry has about the powers the new bureau will have. What new obligations does the legislation impose on the below-prime auto financing business? What operational and compliance challenges can be expected? What kind of impact will the CFPB have on automobile dealer and customer relationships? How will it affect access to the capital markets? Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions pertinent to their own concerns. Registration is required. Go to the events page at www.nafassociation.com. There is no cost for employees of NAF Association member companies to participate in the webinar and a fee of $49 for non-members. The NAF Association is the only trade association exclusively serving the below-prime auto financing industry. |
